The Organizing Committee for the 20th European Congress for Clinical Neurophysiology (ECCN) is delighted to welcome you to the abstract submission portal.

Our theme, "Neurophysiology: From Neuronal Circuits to Clinical Practice," reflects our ambition to bridge basic science and clinical application. By linking insights from neuronal circuits to diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, we aim to demonstrate how advances in neurophysiology translate into improved patient care.

Congress Description

The Organizing Committee for the 2027 European Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology (ECCN27) will feature signature educational courses, workshops and symposia by IFCN Member Societies and other prominent clinical neurophysiology groups globally. One day of teaching courses will cover fundamental education and recent scientific advancements in central and peripheral clinical neurophysiology and include workshops and teaching courses. The three-day Congress will include plenary lectures and symposium.

Presentations at ECCN are given by leading experts in the field and have value for healthcare professionals who utilize clinical neurophysiology. Poster presentations at the Congress highlight the latest work conducted at clinical neurophysiology centers around the world (abstract submissions will open May 2027). The ECCN27 is in-person; live-streaming and virtual attendance is not available.

Please review the following key notes before submitting your symposium proposal:
• The ECCN 2027 Organizing Committee will review proposals after the submission deadline.
• Submission of a proposal does NOT guarantee acceptance.
• The Committee will consider factors such as timeliness of the subject matter, overlap with other sessions, and pertinence as well as regional, geographical, gender, and age diversity of presenters.
• Applicants may submit more than one proposal.
• The Congress Organizing Committee (OC) will review all proposals and will be responsible for the final selection/creation of sessions. Presentations and/or speakers may be changed or amended to fit the overall programme as the OC deems it appropriate.
• Congress Topics: The proposals must be allocated to a specific topic. You will need to select the topic most suited to your submission from the list provided.
· The proposal submitter should receive the permission of every co-speaker in their session prior to submission. The proposer and chair of the session should be one of the three speakers.
· Presentations should be free of commercial bias for or against any product.
· A short bio of each speaker should be included.
· A brief description of the session (max 250 words) is required for evaluation.

HOW TO SUBMIT

•  Proposals must be submitted via the platform: https://event.fourwaves.com/ECCN2027/pages only. Only proposals submitted via the online submission form will be sent to the Review Committee. Proposals submitted by fax, chat or e-mail will not be accepted. Proposals must be submitted in English only.
•  Please do not submit multiple copies of the same proposal.
•  The accepted teaching courses will be presented on Tuesday, October 19, 2027. Accepted symposia proposals will be presented between Wednesday, October 20 and Friday, October 22, 2027, in-person, in Malaga.
• Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Proposals accepted for presentation must include an acknowledgment of funding sources of commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company.
• Sessions that include speakers that are owners or employees of an entity of defined commercial interests will not be permitted to plan or present Continuing Medical Education content.

If you have already submitted your proposal, we will save it in our proposal submission system software, and you will be able to log in to edit your proposal until the portal closes in October.
